FBI tips for shopping online this holiday season

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Online shopping can be an easy and convenient option during the holiday season. Whether by phone or laptop, purchases can be made with the click of a button, but this time of year is also a popular time for scammers looking for their next big payday.

“Anyone and everyone can and has been scammed,” said Dean Neubauer, a Special Agent with the FBI.

Neubauer says online scams have become more sophisticated over the years, with scammers using trust and believability to defraud people.

“They’ll start getting more sophisticated in the emails that they are sending where it’s one that you might expect and you might click on,” he said.

There are many ways people can protect themselves online. That includes looking for character substitutions in emails and websites.

Demi Moore, Priyanka Chopra, Tom Felton Walk The Red Carpet [Photos]

The Fashion Awards 2021 event was held at Royal Albert Hall in London, England on Monday. The event was attended by many celebs including Demi Moore, Dua Lipa, Priyanka Chopra and more.

Demi Moore, who shared the stage with British diver Tom Daley to present the Leader of Change Creativity award to Fashion designer Kim Jones, rocked the red carpet with her stylish look.

The 59-year-old actress donned a black and grey outfit, which was matched with black bellies shoes. She completed her look with arm-length black hand gloves.

One of the Twitter users shared a photo of Moore and noted that she donned Fendi Fall 2021 Haute Couture collection.

Chopra also attended the event with her husband, singer Nick Jonas. While Chopra wore a floral print outfit, Jonas donned a plain black suit with a red t-shirt.
