It really does help to pay attention to details when you go online shopping.

A man in Thailand learned this lesson the hard way when he received something completely different from what he thought he was getting.

According to Oriental Daily, the unnamed man claimed that he’d made an order for an iPhone 7 on e-commerce platform Lazada, but instead received a full-sized desk resembling the shape and appearance of an iPhone 7.

The man admitted that he’d wondered why the cost of shipping was so expensive, and it was only when he received a giant package that he realized he’d made a huge mistake.

Apparently, the man hadn’t bothered to check the description of his purchase before checking out – a commonly-made mistake that has resulted in plenty of eyebrow-raising incidents where shoppers have received things they completely didn’t expect.

But in all fairness, the desk the man received does seem pretty neat. Judging by an Instagram post by a Korean online store that sells interesting household furniture and accessories, the desk is sized big enough for adults to use, with the entire top surface resembling the look of an iPhone 7.

From the “display” to the “home button”, everything about the table is proportioned accurately, and there’s even a drawer that slides out from between the lines that are supposed to make up the phone’s “antennae”.

Checking the account’s official website, it appears as if the desk can be purchased for US$247.89 (KRW310,000).

While there have been many cases of people getting scammed while shopping online, perhaps this scenario isn’t so bad considering the pleasing and novel design of the desk – surely something iPhone lovers can appreciate.
