Bimini Bon Boulash Signed By Next Models

Fan favorite and nonbinary queen Bimini Bon Boulash is making their stamp on the fashion world after getting signed by Next Model Management.

Drag culture has been making its way into the mainstream, thanks in large part to RuPaul’s Drag Race. Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK recently ended and though frontrunner Bimini Bon Boulash didn’t win the crown, they’ve stumbled upon an enormous opportunity. The nonbinary queen revealed that they have been signed by Next Model Management—one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world. It’s a major achievement and signals the acceptance of drag in the fashion world and mainstream culture.

Bimini went far in the competition, but they did not start out strong straight out the gate. In the first episode, Bimini landed in the bottom two and sent fellow queen Joe Black home after an impressive lip sync. But after that initial hiccup, Bimini killed it in the competition. Their runway looks slayed the judges on a regular basis and Bimini’s Katie Price impersonation in the Snatch Game was legendary. Bimini made it to the top three and lost to Lawrence Cheney, but now they’ve secured an even bigger opportunity.

Bimini announced on Instagram that they’ve been signed with Next Model Management. “Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought this possible,” they commented. “This opportunity is a huge crazy, mind-blowing moment for my gender-non comforting a**.” Bimini said that they were added to Next’s main booking list instead of the special bookings and that the opportunity was “huge for non-binary representation in fashion and I’m so thankful.”

Bimini got a round of applause from the drag community, including their fellow season 2 alum Sister Sister and A’Whora. Other RuPaul’s Drag Race legends Latrice Royale, Shea Coulee, and Jaida Essence Hall also gave their congratulations to the queen. Getting signed by Next as a fashion model is a big deal and a sign that drag and LGBTQ+ culture is becoming more normalized and accepted. Gaining that kind of representation is extremely influential and a major step forward.

As RuPaul’s Drag Race increases in popularity, the impact it has on society as a whole is growing. Bimini’s new opportunity is an achievement not just for them, but for all of drag culture. Fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for Bimini as they make their stamp on the fashion world. If Bimini’s looks on the show are any indication of what they have to offer on the runways of the world, then a new supermodel is on the rise.
