This musical Beauty and the Beast offers a twist youll never find in Disney. the New York Times There once was a young girl named Beauty who didnt seem to fit in. Her nose was always stuck in a book and unlike her sisters, she wasnt looking for a Prince Charming to rescue her. What she wanted was adventure and thats just what she found. In order to settle her fathers debt, she goes to live in a magical castle with a mysterious beast. What she discovers is her true self, friendship and the meaning of love. This adaptation, based on the original book by Jeanne-Marie LePrince de Beaumont, is filled with charming musical numbers, delightful dancing, endearing and amusing characters, wonder and magic. Guaranteed to thrill and warm the hearts of children ages 3 to 103. Before the matinee performances families are invited to participate in a pre-show arts experience where they meet members of the cast and creative team as well as make a Beauty or Beast mask to take home as a souvenir. Live music, gorgeous sets and costumes, professional actors and a pre-show arts experience make this a 2-hour experience the whole family will treasure for a lifetime.

The production features a live chamber ensemble with music by Michael Sgouros and book and lyrics by Brenda Bell.
