The Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Lady Gaga, Adut Akech, Hari Nef, and More

While this season’s menswear and couture shows—and the circus of street style that accompanies them—may be over for now, on Instagram, the high-fashion looks have shown no sign of stopping.

For that, we partly have the world of music to thank. The breakout punk band The Linda Lindas posted a snap of themselves decked out in patchwork Batsheva dresses ahead of their music video launch in Los Angeles last night, while Danielle Haim shared a photo of her sister and bandmate Alana in a sleek denim jumpsuit to celebrate her BAFTA nomination for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza. The up-and-coming British pop star Bree Runway, meanwhile, posed in a baby blue belted coat with a faux fur-trimmed collar ahead of the release of her new single “Pressure” next week. The finishing touch? A pair of matching Miu Miu ski gloves, of course.

This week, there were plenty of models getting in on the action too. Adut Akech’s pearlescent slip dress worn with Bottega Veneta’s square-toe heels was a certified knockout, while the ever-reliable source of Instagram fashion inspo that is Kristen McMenamy served up a kaleidoscopic look that included an eye-popping skirt with multicolored stripes and a pair of neon green Balenciaga track sandals. The most heartwarming fashion moment, however, came courtesy of Shalom Harlow, whose photo with fellow ’90s modeling legends Kirsty Hume and Amber Valletta—all in coordinating oatmeal knits, naturally—paid tribute to the beauty of enduring friendship.
