Product Description

Socket's first Bluetooth product, Bluetooth card, is a CompactFlash I/O card that adds Bluetooth capability to a Pocket PC or HPC 2000. The Card makes it easy to add Bluetooth connectivity to a mobile computer for easy Internet access. Without Bluetooth connectivity, mobile Internet access has been clumsy - juggling a mobile phone connected to a mobile computer via a cable. Now only the mobile computer needs to be held. The Bluetooth Connection Kit features the Socket Bluetooth Card and Get Connected! Setup wizard. The software runs on Windows CE 3.0 for Pocket PC 2000, Pocket PC 2002 and Handheld PC 2000.

Most Pocket PCs have only one expansion slot through which users can either add memory or attach an I/O device, but many users could benefit from having both features at the same time. This is what Socket's innovative Memory-Plus-I/O technology achieves. Socket has demonstrated patent-pending technology for combining both features onto a CompactFlash card. Instead of being forced to choose between devoting a slot for one function or another, Socket's unique design enables users to have both simultaneously.

The card has a unique design - a fully integrated antenna offering two major benefits: it will not change the size or look of your Pocket PC and it reduces the risk of damage to the card or Pocket PC when in use
Use the standard Windows CE dial-up networking (DUN) software to initiate a data call with your phone
Bluetooth Profiles supported in Windows CE: General Access, Service Discovery, Serial Port, Dial-up Networking, LAN (via PPP), Fax, Generic Object Exchange, Object Push, and File Transfer.
The card is designed to be Mobility Friendly™ and energy efficient to minimize the battery consumption of your Pocket PC.
With Socket's Dialer software you can tap contact and let your Windows CE device dial your phone.
Print to a Bluetooth-enabled printer with the Bluetooth Connection Kit and PrintPocketCE software.
